With a background in nature writing, fiction, personal nonfiction, and various other genres, I have in recent years bent toward poetry. My poetry has been published in Shadowplay, The Ekphrastic Review, and Wayfarer Magazine. You can read hese pieces and other samples of my work below.

I have served as editor and layout designer for three student-run literary magazines and am invigorated by the variety and profound personality of the literary landscape of small presses and journals. The best work can come from anywhere; the right comment on a tech forum can reduce you to tears. Words belong everywhere, and I strive to use them with love and precision.
